Rich in nature and with the mighty Mount Coronet at its heart, Sinnoh is a land of many myths passed down through the ages. You’ll choose either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup to be your first partner Pokémon and then set off on your journey to becoming the Champion of the Pokémon League. Along the way, you’ll be able to encounter the Legendary Pokémon Dialga.

    Adventure together with the Pokémon that appeared in the Pokémon Diamond Version game. Players of the original games can revisit familiar places and relive familiar scenes, while first-time players can enjoy plenty of fun encounters and surprises that the Sinnoh region has to offer. The original story and the scale of the Sinnoh region’s towns and routes have been faithfully reproduced. Please download this update data, as it’s designed to make gameplay more pleasant for you.

Approximately 3GB of memory must be available on your Nintendo Switch system’s memory or on your micro SD card to download the update data. Please see Nintendo support page for details about checking memory and managing data.

Version 1.1.0 (available on November 11, 2021)

Communication function added for the Grand Underground, Super Contest Shows, Union Room, and Mystery Gift

You’ll be able to enjoy local communication function of game features like the Grand Underground, Super Contest Shows, and the Union Room. You’ll also be able to receive gifts via Mystery Gift.

Post–Hall of Fame elements added

Some game elements you’ll be able to enjoy after entering the Hall of Fame, such as Ramanas Park, will be implemented.

Note: If you have game data that reflects that you have already entered the Hall of Fame, you can play these elements immediately after updating the software.

Some in-game movies and animation added

Certain animated scenes and movies, including the title demo that plays when the software is booted up and the ending movie, will be implemented.

Note: A movie of the title demo has been added that plays when the software is booted up. You can see it by rebooting the game with existing save data.

Note: Animation of the ending movie has been added. Even if you have already reflected entering the Hall of Fame on your save data, you can see the ending by entering the Hall of Fame again.

Some issues have also been fixed for more pleasant gameplay.


Note: Local communication is not compatible with version 1.0.0. Please make sure you have the same update version as the people you’d like to play with.

About planned future updates:

On the day of the release, interactions using local communication in the Union Room will be limited to two players. You’ll be able to battle, trade, or mix records in the Union Room at first, but a future update is planned to enable greeting and Capsule Decoration functions as well.

Additionally, future updates are planned to enable Link Battles via the Colosseum function in Pokémon Centers.
